This year, A Better World is partnered with ADRA Afghanistan to install 25 new wells in the Sherberghan district. With local management, the cost to install a well is approximately $1000. The low cost is possible because there is a 25% community contribution for each well.

Welcome – An opportunity to make a difference

A Better World was established in 1990 in Lacombe, Alberta, Canada and focused on a few small international projects. It has since grown to include people from all walks of life dedicated to improving lives without regard to ethnic, political or religious association.

It works in places such as Tibet, Bolivia, Afghanistan and India, while maintaining a focus on projects in Eastern Africa.Managed entirely by volunteers either from their work place or home, A Better World delivers sustainable foundations necessary to reduce poverty and human suffering.
